Following the issuance of the construction permit in December and the establishment of the construction site in March, earthworks aimed at preparing the investment began in April. Since then, continuous work has been carried out, including the removal and storage of the topsoil layer and the leveling of the construction site’s ground surface.
On the 11.5-hectare site located in the Dunavarsány Industrial Park, CJ Foods is implementing its first European greenfield investment and its first production unit in Central and Eastern Europe.
In the first phase of this investment, which is of significant importance to the national economy, the goal is to establish a 14,000-square-meter production and warehouse facility equipped with automated production lines. This facility will produce two popular product categories under the Bibigo brand: frozen Korean Mandu dumplings filled with vegetables and/or meat, and ready-to-cook Korean fried chicken products.
After the completion of the earthworks, construction will continue with deep foundation work.
